FIELD: fire fighting. SUBSTANCE: aerosol-forming means for volume fire extinguishing are provided containing 1.5-18.0 wt % of combustible binder, 5.0-20.0 wt % of cooling agent, and oxidant to balance. Combustible binder employs 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, or mixture thereof with phenolformaldehyde resin, or mixture of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid with epoxide resin, or mixture of phenolformaldehyde and epoxide resins, or mixture of 4- hydroxybenzoic acid with phenolformaldehyde and epoxide resins. Oxidant may employ potassium nitrate, sodium nitrate, potassium perchlorate, sodium perchlorate, or their mixtures. As cooling agent, dicyanodiamide, melem, melamine, urea, urotropin, azobisformamide, or their mixtures are used.
