FIELD: methods of fire fighting. SUBSTANCE: method consists in suppression of burning process by acting on fire place with directed high- velocity jet of fire-extinguishing aero (aqua) sol formed in throwing from flame thrower, ignition and burning in flight of, at least, one solid, liquid or gel-like aero (aqua) sol-generating composition. The latter contains fuel - binder and/or fuel, oxidizer, and/or coolant. Fire-extinguishing aero (aqua) sol attaining fire place envelopes burning zone, comes in contact with flame. Use is made of aero (aqua) sol - generating compositions of one compound or different compounds, or mixture of aero ( aqua) sol-generating composition with fire-extinguishing powders, or with water, or with aqueous solutions of salts, and/or their mixtures with different order of their location in throwing and ignition in flight. Ignition and burning of composition with formation of directed aero (aqua) sol jet takes place in flight and/or above burning object, and/or inside burning object. Used for the purpose is flame thrower of any design.
