FIELD: blasting operations in mining and construction industries. SUBSTANCE: process is designed for overburden operations in coal strippings. Height of main charges of explosive in vertical holes is assumed to be equal to 0.5-0.87 depth of hole and hole shooting charges of explosive are formed elongated with height equal to 0.7-1.2 height of corresponding main charge of explosive. It is also possible to form hole shooting charges with nonuniform mass in 1.0 m of length of these charges and/or in the form of dispersed string.
