FIELD: fish industry, in particular, keeping of fishes within predetermined water area and correction of natural fish migration ways. SUBSTANCE: method involves creating protective electric field by means of current-conductive electrodes to which single electric pulses are supplied and, in synchronism with electric pulses, light or orienting acoustic signal is supplied to electrode working zone. It is preferable that frequency of supplying electric pulse, acoustic and light signal be changed in accordance with predetermined program so that it is not constant. Upon supplying of basic pulse, sequence of pulses with polarity opposite to that of basic pulse, should be supplied. It is recommended that electric field should be created in broken areas of hydraulic flows of main waterway and water discharge channel by means of electrodes-current carriers floating in water. Geometrical shape of floating electrodes is maintained by plate-shaped hydroplanes positioned at an angle to water flow. Creation of repellent factors composed of at least two components (electric field, light or acoustic signals) allows fish-protective production costs to be reduced. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced injure to fishes in case of their accidental getting into working zones of fish protecting constructions. 5 cl, 3 dwg
