FIELD: shipbuilding; manufacture of propulsion plants for ships and other sea objects. SUBSTANCE: propeller nozzle includes profiled circular body with load-bearing framework secured on ship's hull by means of vibration isolators. Nozzle body has cuts whose total area is no less than 0.1 of total area of nozzle surface; these cuts are filled with water or with water-like material, rubber, for example whose inertia and stiffness characteristics are similar to those of water. Maximum distance between adjacent cuts is defined. Cavities provided inside nozzle body between members of its load-bearing framework are filled with light material. EFFECT: considerable reduction of noise produced by vibrations of propeller nozzle under action of hydrodynamic forces. 2 dwg
