FIELD: shipbuilding; shipboard systems with submersible propulsion motors. SUBSTANCE: electric motor - propeller combination includes propeller, nozzle with circular chamber in its body open towards flow channel; tread ring entering this chamber embraces propeller blades; tread ring is provided with excitation system; electric motor stator is secured on wall of chamber; bearing system for propeller shaft is secured to nozzle body; stator is divided into two parts which have form of flat rings secured on opposite walls of chamber between which tread ring is located with poles of excitation system which are located over circle of tread ring at alternating polarity. Planes of end active surfaces of circular stator are perpendicular to axis of rotation of propeller. EFFECT: maintenance of serviceability of device at considerable radii and axial shifts of rotor; reduction of flywheel moment and load on supporting bearings by 20 to 25 percent. 2 dwg
