FIELD: electrolytic production of metals. SUBSTANCE: method, which may be used when preparing magnet- containing chloride raw material for subsequent electrolysis to produce magnesium, consists in dehydrating initial carnallite in fluidized bed with gaseous heat carrier stream, catching carnallite dust from dust-gas stream in centrifugal force field, and additionally imposing corona discharge field having negative potential relative to dust catcher case and electrostatic field intensity 0.6-1.8 kV/cm. EFFECT: intensified processing.
