FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention concerns all technical areas where purification or treatment of water with directed variation of its properties is needed. Installation has at least one cylindrical vertical electrochemical cell with coaxial electrodes of electrolytically insoluble material installed in dielectric bushings and diaphragm of ceramics based on zirconium, aluminum, and yttrium oxides which is coaxially installed in bushings between electrodes and separates interelectrode space into anode and cathode chambers with inlets and outlets in lower and upper parts of chambers, respectively. There are also lines for feeding water to be treated and withdrawing treated water connected with anode chamber outlet; container for catalyst with inlet and outlet in lower and upper parts, respectively, mounted on water withdrawal line; and drainage connected with cathode chamber outlet. According to invention, installed are also an additional electrochemical cell constructed as described above and sealed cylindrical flotator with tangential water inlet and outlets for clarified water and upper drain. Water-supply line is connected with additional cell cathode chamber inlet; cathode chamber outlet in this cell is connected with tangential inlet in flotator; outlet for clarified water in flotator with anode chamber inlet in main cell; outlet of upper drain in flotator is connected through flow regulator with anode chamber inlet in additional cell; and anode chamber outlet with cathode chamber inlet in main cell. Installation may also include means for air saturation of water installed between cathode chamber outlet of additional cell and flotator inlet. EFFECT: enhanced treatment efficiency. 9 cl, 1 dwg
