SUBSTANCE: method involves processing basic aqueous solution of chloride of alkaline metal or alkaline-earth metal in cathodic chamber of diaphragm-type electrochemical reactor; discharging part of solution processed in cathodic chamber and processing basic solution flow in anodic chamber of diaphragm-type electrochemical reactor, with processing being carried out in block of electrochemical reactors comprising from two to four reactors and said solution being passed in single-stage mode through cathodic chambers of reactor; discharging part of solution processed in cathodic chambers by processing solution in hermetically sealed flotation reactor and discharging flotation sludge; sequentially processing basic solution flow in anodic chambers of reactor, with flow speed of solution under processing through anodic chambers exceeding flow speed through cathodic chambers by 2-4 times. Method and apparatus may be used in any branch of industry requiring usage of disinfecting solutions.
