FIELD: carbon fuel production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to briquetting coal and coke fine, in particular, to fabricating coal and coke briquets that can be used in household and industrial hearths as well as for coking in coke and metallurgical industries. Method includes drying starting wet disintegrated combustible material (coal and coke fine, peat, wood waste) to achieve moisture content below 15%, mixing with binder (lignosulfonate, liquid glass), briquetting mixture, thermally treating briquets at 200 to 700 C in non-oxidizing medium, cooling them by mixing with starting material in drum at rotation speed 1-10 rpm, separating dried disintegrated combustible material from cooled briquets and mixing it with binder. Coke briquets can also be utilized as energy carrier, reducing material, and sorbent for electrothermal production of phosphorus, production of cast iron, steel, ferroalloys, refractory products, and sugar.
