FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this is intended for preventing personal injury, damage to service lines and motor vehicles by ice protrusions spontaneously falling from roof overhangs. Safety guarding is installed directly on roof overhang. It represents horizontal restricting member tensioned along roof overhang and attached to trough and its limiting hooks and resting on non-metal supports which ensure clearance between restricting member and roof. At period of intensive thawing of ice, ice block is held due to fact that temperature of restricting member will be always by 3-4 C below temperature of roof because restricting member is located under roof that is in open air, but metal roof is in contact with warm garret premise. This ensure reliable holding of ice lump on roof overhang and its gradual thawing at roof side for safety of people, service lines and motor vehicles underneath. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 dwg
