FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device to drop icicles and ice and a snow layer from the building eaves comprises a lengthy belt attached movably to the edge of the eaves and its mechanical drive made of a flexible joint and units installed on the building wall. The flexible joint is made in the form of two rope sections for suspension of the strip to the edge of the eaves and its vertical displacement. Some ends of the sections are attached to the ends of the strip, and to the other ends, freely pulled via the brackets on the lower surface of the eaves and via the blocks there are weights connected with the total weight equal to the weight of the strip together with the permissible accumulation of icicles and ice on it.
EFFECT: improved operating reliability of a roof.
