SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio measurements of parameters of absorbing materials on microwave. Method of measuring complex dielectric and magnetic permeabilities of absorbing materials includes filling waveguide section with analysed material, probing with electromagnetic wave, measurement of complex reflection and transmission coefficients and processing of measurement results. Investigated material is made in form of parallelepiped with lateral rib of length a, determined from ratio , where ε is dielectric permeability of material, μ is magnetic permeability of material, electric length Lλ waveguide sections with material is not more than λ/4. At that, electrodynamic modelling of waveguide with parameterized frequency-dependent values is performed additionally ε', ε'', μ', μ'' material, at which results in the frequency band are optimized, and measured and estimated reflection and transmission coefficients are compared.
EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy and efficiency of measuring complex dielectric and magnetic permeability of absorbing materials in a wide frequency band.
