SUBSTANCE: lift has support frame with guides, load-bearing frame mounted on guides for movement and coupled with traction wire rope, reversible drive, guide and fixed sheaves installed on support frame, and chain mechanism with lower. load-bearing and non-bearing units. Lower unit of chain mechanism is mounted on support frame, is coupled with reversible drive and is made in form of two parallel shafts on which two different-size toothed rotary links are mounted to form gear train and two different-size sprockets are fitted. Gear ratio of sprockets differs from gear ratio of rotary links. Non-bearing unit of chain mechanism is coupled with load-bearing unit of chain mechanism through fixed sheave and wire rope. Closed chain of chain mechanism is reeved over different-size sprockets of lower unit and through sprockets of load-bearing and non-bearing units. Load-bearing unit can be furnished with additional sheave, and traction wire rope is reeved over fixed and additional sheaves to form n-fold pulley block. Wire rope coupling-load-bearing and non-bearing units of chain mechanism can be tensioned by spring connected with one of above-indicated units.
