RAIL FISHPLATE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; permanent way; fishplates for shockless connection of rails which are installed inside track gauge for engagement through upper surfaces with wheel flange. SUBSTANCE: fishplate installed inside track gauge is provided with projection 6 on its middle part over the length. Projection 6 is designed for engagement with flange of rail vehicle wheel. Inner side surface of fishplate is mated with surfaces of head and foot of rail. Upper surface 7 of fishplate projection 6 is made curvilinear and convex in longitudinal vertical plane.
