FIELD: machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes cylinder 1 whose bottom is in the form of truncated cone strut 2 with its upper portion being base for combustion chamber 3 restricted by inner surface of piston 4 and inner surface of said cone strut 2. Hollow piston 4 has cone inner cavity; base of piston 4 adjoins to inner portion of base 5 of cylinder bottom. Piston 4 is provided with inner bead 6 in its upper portion. Cylinder 1 has in lateral portion near its very base inlet opening 7 with valve 8. In base of combustion chamber 3 on upper portion of cone strut 2 of cylinder 1 there are spark plug 9 and opening 10 with valve 11 for discharging exhaust products. Cylinder 1 has in its lateral part window 12 for discharging exhaust gases. Inlet opening 7 is joined with pipeline 13 for introducing working mixture to cylinder 1. Sealing ring 14 is arranged in lower part of piston 4 for preventing early discharging exhaust gases. In upper portion piston 4 has lug 15 for mounting connecting rod 16 joined with mechanism 17.
