FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engine. SUBSTANCE: two through holes are made in cylinder head of internal combustion engine in which fixed cylinders with ports are installed. Cylinders accommodate rotating hollow shafts (spools) also provided with ports. Fixed cylinders are cooled by liquid from outside. Double walls of spools have spaces to pass cooling liquid. Grooves are made on shafts-spools from outer side for sealing rings and for lubrication. Flanges for delivering cooling liquid are installed at end faces. Grooves for springy rings rigidly connected by cross partitions are made on outer surfaces of shafts-spools. One of shafts-spools is intake, the other, exhaust, inner diameter of shafts being 0.1-0.8 of engine cylinder bore. EFFECT: increased service life, enhanced reliability of timing gear. 4 dwg
