FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: device has cylinder cover 1, intake valve 2 driven by camshaft through rocker 3, gas valve 6 mechanically coupled with rocker 3 and tappet 5 installed in housing 7. Operating mechanism of intake valve 2 and gas valve 6 is furnished additionally with crossmember 4 installed between valves under rocker 3. Tappets for each valve are fitted on ends of crossmember 4. Clearance is set between tappet 5 and end face of stem of gas valve 6 equal to travel of crossmember 4 at scavenging. Housing 7 of gas valve 6 has lover space 9 and upper space 11, lower space 9 accommodating pull-back spring installed under plate of gas valve 6. Lower space communicates with gas supply channel 8. Upper space 11 is located above plate of gas valve 7 and it communicates with intake channel 12 in cylinder cover 1. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 cl, 2 dwg
