SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agricultural machinery industry, in particular to devices for cutting roots of seedlings of forest trees. The rootcutter comprises a frame with guides and vertically cutting working elements. For cutting of lateral roots of seedlings the vertically cutting working elements are kinematically connected to the dispensing shaft using bevel gears and flexible shafts. The working elements are made in the form of discs, and additionally provided with protective covers.

EFFECT: constructive implementation enables to improve the quality of cutting the roots of seedlings.
