SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agricultural machinery industry, in particular to devices for trimming the roots of plants. The root-trimmer comprises a frame (1) with a guide (5) and trimming working elements in the form of discs (8). The discs (8) are made of different diameters and kinematically connected with power hydraulic cylinders (6) and (3). The hydraulic cylinders (6) and (3) provide a change in the distance and change in the angle of slope between the discs (8). The discs (8) are additionally provided with protective casings (9).

EFFECT: constructive solution enables to enhance the quality of trimming the roots of seedlings.
