FIELD: nuclear engineering. SUBSTANCE: vacuum chamber accommodates charged-particles source, insulators, charged-particles separator, and charged-particles collector. Charged-particles source has ionizing chamber and electrodes that form pulling field. Charged- particles separator is made of tubes bent at different radii over arcs of circular orbits of charged particles and mounted one on top of other with common internal contact. Tubes are provided with longitudinal slits on side of largest bending radius of each tube is symmetry plane of tubes. Central conductor is placed inside tube of smaller diameter concentrically to it. Charged- particles source is placed between central conductor and common contact point of all tubes. Charged particles are separated by masses at diverging magnetic barriers of magnetic field built up by separator diverging tubes carrying unidirectional currents. EFFECT: improved selectivity in separating charged particles by masses, reduced loss of separated material, reduced power requirement and size of device. 3 dwg
