FIELD: bridge building. SUBSTANCE: trestle work has span beams resting on abutments and intermediate piers, as well as brake chords in the form of prestressed stays. The stay ends are brought from the outside behind the abutments and secured on the ends of reinforced-concrete slabs hinge- joined to the abutment foundations. EFFECT: reduced specific quantity of metal in trestle work abutments due to provision of brake chords anchored to the abutments in their lower part by loading of the abutment foundation slabs by special loads and embankment earth. 3 cl, 1 dwg
