FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: invention may find use in suppressing blowouts (burning and hydrogen sulfide ones among them) on oil and gas fields. On prepared area of flowing string, halves of string split flange are installed and contracted them using fastening means. Onto split flange, one of halves of split casing of preventer placed together with a half of split solid-fuel gas-generating element with detonator and sealing members. Split rings of sealing member surround the string. The second half of preventer casing with second half of split solid-fuel gas- generating element is then installed, parts of casing are joined, and detonator is activated resulting in cutting the string. Invention allows installing locking equipment onto head of flowing well below the level of jet outflow. EFFECT: increased reliability and safety of operation. 2 dwg
