FIELD: evaluation of quality of parts during their manufacture and reconditioning, in particular, flaw detection with use of computation tomography. SUBSTANCE: radiation from point source passes through test object moved by scanner which performs reciprocating motion and discrete rotation of test object and hits matrix of detectors arranged in fan beam passing through plane of inspection. Norming is conducted before start of each scanning cycle. For this linear matrix of detectors is turned through 90 deg relative to extreme detector in matrix bringing it out of "shadow" of test object. Intensities of radiations hitting each detector in matrix are recorded and this radiation is entered into computer. Then matrix is automatically returned to working position and intensity of radiation passed through test object into each detector is recorded. These results are corrected by norming results stored in computer and are again entered into computer for next generation of tomogram. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of method. 2 dwg
