FIELD: radiation engineering; computer tomography. SUBSTANCE: set of at least two gauges with known values of density is introduced additionally between source and detection facilities. Gauges are positioned inside examination area, and measurements are performed with simultaneous rotation of object and gauge around object axis. Density in separate areas and/or in layer being examined is determined by restored tomogram in case restored tomogram values in field of examined layer and gauge coincide. EFFECT: provision for getting of quantitative data in form of absolute values of density. 2 dwg
