FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: system has implantable device to carry out intraocular or intraorbital operations and to provide for controllable release of pharmacological agents. The implantable device is composed of C-shaped rings insertable through cuts made in eye wall or put on the eyeball. The C-shaped rings are molded from biodegradable polymers to provide release of medical preparation in process of polymer biodegradation. Alternatively, the implantable device is to be manufactured as hollow flexible polymer shell filled with a medical preparation gradually released outside due to osmotic conditions. In this case, the implantable device containing medical preparation is manufactured as an implant for releasing intraocular or intraorbital pharmacological agents and is enclosed into cannula duct before piston that is mounted to enable the implant to be ejected from the cannula. EFFECT: controllable release of medicine for treating eye diseases. 16 cl, 12 dwg
