FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: information (data) is encoded into tactilely perceivable signals, while patient is taught to detect and discriminate these signals. Primary information is disintegrated into separate information flows, each of said flows being encoded in form of sequence (train) of discrete codes. Codes of each information flow are transmitted to specific, individual fixed points on patient's skin, whereas patient undergoes special training to develop in him (her) ability to synthesize signals thus-received into final information that is adequate to primary information which is encoded by electric signals having different frequency and/or amplitude characteristics, different current voltage and/or amperage. Primary information can be also converter into encoded mechanical (vibratory) signals having different amplitude and/or frequency, and into thermal signals. Code duration and time gaps between them are varied during encoding, and disintegration degree of primary information is controlled.
