FIELD: mechanical engineering; particularly certification of measuring heads of numerically-controlled machines. SUBSTANCE: device consists of certification standard with magnetic members situated inside the standard and a system intended to create aerostatic support for axial orientation of the standard. When the device resides in the tool magazine of the machine, the standard is stored fixed in the aligning bar. When the device is introduced into the working zone of the standard, it is supplied with compressed air, which creates air cushion between the aligning rod and the standard thus resulting in centering of the standard. Compressed air comes also into the standard chamber to act upon rotary mechanism of magnet rotor. When the rotor turns through 90 deg. on the axis, the open stator and the magnet interact with the machine table thus generating closed magnetic loop. When the standard is brought to the table, the magnets fix it on the table within the specified coordinates. After certification of the measuring head, control of the article and repeated check of the measuring head, the device is taken into tool magazine and the magnet takes initial position.
