FIELD: bridge building, in particular, protection of supports for bridges constructed on rivers with ice drift and variable water flow level in the regions with severe climatic conditions. SUBSTANCE: bridge support has two separate pileworks extending in elongate diagonal lines downstream of river in spaced relation through height and interconnected by spacer members arranged above the level of high ice drift. Each pilework is made rhomboid in plan. Resilient waterproof and nonfreezing layer is positioned at pilework joining point between spacer member and pileworks. Inner cavity of each ice-protective enclosure is divided into sections by continuous tightening diaphragms so that each of nose and stern parts of enclosure has only one pile and intermediate parts have two pipes. Tightening diaphragms are separated by horizontal air gaps from bottom of pilework plate. Lower end of tightening diaphragms is permanently submerged into water. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 5 cl, 2 dwg
