SUBSTANCE: method includes heating the roofing area to be reconditioned with concentration of heat energy in closed space to melt bitumen in roofing material; forced ventilation of closed space in which heat energy is concentrated, and stabilization of technological process by regulation of air flow rate and power of heating elements. The device has framework with reflecting shield and end walls. They are form closed space where heat energy is concentrated above roofing area to be reconditioned. Electric heating elements are located in the closed space. The device additionally has external body, fan for air supply to space formed by external body and reflecting shield which has holes or slots for air flow from space under external body to zone of reconditioning under reflecting shield. Lower part of end walls have holes for discharge of fire-hazardous air-gas mixture from zone of roofing repair to environment. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
