FIELD: digital data processing. SUBSTANCE: optical regenerator has two optically coupled active resonators with ohmic contacts on upper and lower bases. Resonators are manufactured with internal and external mirrors, and rectangular phase modulator is positioned between resonators so that internal mirror of resonators and phase modulator form nonlinear Fabry-Perot interferometer. Internal mirrors of coupled resonators posses higher transmission that the external ones. Multielectrode injection laser with saturated absorber and nonhomogeneous current injection is joined to one of vacant edges of phase modulator. Laser is coupled optically to the latter. Ohmic contacts are applied to upper and lower edges of phase modulator. EFFECT: more reliable data processing. 7 dwg
