Composition of peptizing agent on the base of side product (flotation reagent oxal represents this side product) is prepared by condensation of isobutylene with formaldehyde. Condensation is carried out in the presence of light fraction of rectification of flotation reagent, its quantity being 8-15 % of total amount of isobutylene and formaldehyde; 155-160 C temperature and 10-30 mm Hg pressure being maintained in the vat of said column.
