Coating composition including oligo- or co-oligopiperylene rubber, oxygen-containing organic component, siccative and solvent comprises by-side product in production of isoprene from isobutylene and formaldehyde as oxygen-containing organic component through the stage preparing 4,4'-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane with boiling onset point 45 C at 15 mm of mercury column or its fraction in the following ratio of components, wt.-%: oligo- or co-oligopiperylene rubber, 40-65; indicated by-side product in production of isoprene from isobutylene and formaldehyde with boiling onset point 45 C at 15 mm of mercury column or its fraction, 4-16; siccative, 1-3; solvent, the balance. Invention allows the expansion of assortment of compositions used for covering with high adhesion in large tonnage petrochemical manufacture and to enhance adhesion up to 1 point.
