FIELD: prediction of critical states of foundation beddings of buildings and structures located in permafrost zone. SUBSTANCE: method consists in measurement of soil temperature and in determination of parameters of acoustic emission ( amplitude, intensity and spectrum ) at temperature of transition of soil from hard-frozen state to plastically frozen one. Moment of start of failure in foundation beddings is found by abrupt decrease of amplitude-frequency parameters. Gear predicting start of failure of foundation beddings is equipped with temperature sensitive element with preamplifier of temperature signal positioned in one unit with piezopickup.
