FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method for erection of a bridge support pillar on permafrost soil consists in boring a well with a larger cross section compared to the cross section of the pillar, installation of the pillar into the well, filling a pocket between the well walls and the pillar with interstitial water and subsequent freezing of the pillar walls with the interstitial water and the surrounding soil. The novelty in the proposed invention is the fact that the interstitial water is filled into the pocket in a dry frozen condition, besides, upon filling of the pocket with the interstitial water, the pillar, the dry frozen interstitial water and soil adjacent to the well walls are heated with duration "τ1". Besides, duration "τ1" of heating for hollow metal pillars is determined on the basis of the appropriate ratio. The cooling operation may also be carried out for pillars from metal pipes by filling of the pocket with cold air, and the same time duration "τ2" of cooling is identified using the appropriate formula.
EFFECT: invention provides for reliable freezing of a bridge support pillar side surface with a surrounding soil massif.
