CABLE LUG Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: electric wiring; termination of wires and cables, primarily aluminium-core ones. SUBSTANCE: cable lug has shell-type shank and contact system with hole for connecting cable lug to electrical equipment terminal lead. Shank and contact system are built integral of aluminium silicon-magnesium alloy; shank is provided with through hole whose axis is aligned with longitudinal axis of shank; at point where shank is joined with contact system hole has at least one step whose height makes up at least half the contact system thickness. EFFECT: improved reliability of core-to-lug joint and of joint between lug and terminal lead of electrical equipment; facilitated manufacture and reduced cost. 2 dwg
