FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding. SUBSTANCE: carriage has bearing platform 1 installed for longitudinal travel along guide H-section beam 3 by means of two pairs of rollers 6 arranged vertically at each opposite side of H- section beam 3. Carriage has support plate 8 cantilever mounted by hinge joint to strip 2 and by spring 9 to bearing platform 1. Carriage step-by-step travel motion mechanism is mounted on support plate 8. Travel-motion mechanism is made in form of roller overrunning clutch provided with drive handle 10. Drive handle 10 is shifted from one detent position to the other to feed carriage through required distance. Torque is transmitted from drive handle 10 through hub and rollers to overrunning clutch race. Race engages through its resilient rim with wall of guide H-section beam 3, rolling along beam, and rollers 6 simultaneously roll along webs of guide H-section beam 3 providing movement of carriage through distance corresponding to angle of turning of drive handle from one detent position to another.
