FIELD: production of building materials. SUBSTANCE: similarly to conventional feedstock mixtures used for producing heat-insulating materials, proposed mixture is based on water glass, ash resulting from operations of thermoelectric plants and additives, latter being constituted by wastes resulting from paper-and- pulp production and from wool processing industry. Inventive novelty of proposed mixture resides in fact that said additive resulting from paper-and- pulp production is taken from pulp making plants after pulp drying, at process step of loosening pulp. EFFECT: 1) simplified procedure for preparing feedstock mixture; 2) reduced density and lower thermal conductivity coefficient of resulting heat-insulating material, whence better heat-insulating properties. 2 tbl
