FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: binding agent utilized is liquid glass prepared by hydrothermally treating, at 80-90 C and atmospheric pressure, suspension of microsilica (crystalline silicon production waste) with caustic and, additionally, pore-forming additive: undersized crystalline silicon. Such liquid glass (64.5-68.9%) together with undersized crystalline silicon (3.5-9.8%) are combined with heat- and-power station entrainment (25.7-27.6%) to form granules, which are then subjected to heat treatment at 120-150 C for 1 h. Binding agent and pore-forming additive are preheated to 50-60 C. EFFECT: reduced loose density and water absorbing, increased compression strength, and simplified manufacture technology. 2 cl, 2 tbl
