MICROSTRIP DIRECTIONAL COUPLER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2101808 C1

FIELD: radio engineering, radio engineering systems of various assignment. SUBSTANCE: dielectric substrate carries two coupled transmission lines formed in parallel to each other. Reverse side of substrate is completely metallized by layer of conductive material. Closed ring conductor is formed around transmission lines and is coupled to them electromagnetically which provides for dimensions of thin-film structure more adaptable for production line manufacture of ceramic substrates of greater width of band of coupler reaching to 70%. Proposed coupler can find use as element base of thin-film high-frequency units. EFFECT: expanded application field, improved operational characteristics. 2 dwg
