FIELD: medical engineering; prosthetics. SUBSTANCE: when releasing member button is pressed with force exceeding compression force of releasing member spring, releasing member moves rightward, and due to presence of angle β and under the action of puller spring, stop moves downwards along with wedges, thus forming clearance between wedges and drum, as a result of which drum rotates in casing around all three axes. Required rigidness of first link of hinge relative to second link is set by means of rigidness adjustment screw. In the absence of force, spring of releasing members moves the latter to the left, pulls stop with wedges upwards overcoming the puller spring force. Wedges are pressed to drum, and rotation of first link relative to second link around axes becomes impossible because of wedging caused by friction forces. EFFECT: extended functional capabilities of prostheses, reliable wedging and unwedging of prostheses. 3 dwg
