FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: when first link of hinge attempts to rotate relative to second link both clockwise and counter-clockwise, hinge is wedged due to friction forces, and turning of hinge first link with respect to second link becomes impossible in any direction. In the absence of load designed to turn first link of hinge in any direction relative to second link, for unwedging the kinematic hinge it is sufficient to apply force to wedges which exceeds counteracting force of flexible member. As a result, wedges turn around their axes. They stop contacting the drum and do not prevent the latter from rotating around hinge axis in any direction relative to hinge second link. EFFECT: stepless two-sided wedging of joints and easy unwedging. 1 dwg
