FIELD: manufacture of fuel elements; may be used in aviation industry and rocket manufacture. SUBSTANCE: deformed ends of tubes are heated in process of beading which is started at room temperature. As deformation coefficient rises temperature is raised so that up to the moment of possible formation of folds it reaches 350 C. At the end of beading, the temperature shall not exceed 550 C. Besides, before beading tubes are drawn with 30-80% deformation, and directly before beading, tool and tube are degreased. Preliminary deformation hardening and gradual rising of temperature ensure stability of tubes in transverse and longitudinal directions. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 tbl
