FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in designing of two-coordinate rests primarily for electrochemical and electrophysical machines. Carriage has rest installed in its body with machining tool and having possibility for longitudinal and lateral displacement by means of drives with screw-nut transmissions. Rest is made in the form of rocker connected with sleeve installed in body on supports for possible turning and axial displacement. One of screws is located in sleeve for axial displacement, and its one end is mounted in bearing support secured in sleeve, and its other end is kinematically connected with splines made in body. Nut of screw is connected with rotation drive. Lateral feed drive represents reducer mounted on axle for turning, and installed in reducer space for axial displacement is screw connected with bush installed for possible displacement on rod secured in rocker.
