FIELD: glass industry. SUBSTANCE: fluorozirconate glasses were produced by charge melting, melt homogenizing at 900-1000 C and cooling. Charge has the following composition, wt.-%: barium fluoride, 18-29; rare-earth element fluoride, 3-8; and ammonium fluorozirconate, the rest. Composition is used for optical glass making.
