FIELD: inorganic syntheses. SUBSTANCE: scandium chloride is mixed with lithium hydroxide (reducing agent), and mixture obtained is heated in vacuum at 200-300 C and then in argon atmosphere at 500-680 C followed by washing reaction mass obtained with water and dilute acid solution. The mass is crushed, dried, and briquetted. Briquets are gradually heated under vacuum to 650-900 C. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process.
