FIELD: radiation methods of nondestructive inspections of part internal structure to shape signal indicating precise coordinate location of point at which sounding quanta enter detector. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording of light fluxes passed through two opposing surfaces of scintillator, taking logs of recorded values of mentioned light fluxes, Followed by calculation of scintillation coordinates using difference in found logarithms. In addition, light flux from third opposing part of scintillator surface is recorded and its log is taken, value obtained is added to difference between logarithms of light fluxed passed through opposite surfaces of scintillator. EFFECT: improved accuracy of relating coordinates of sounding quanta entering crystal to detector working surface. 1 dwg
