FIELD: production of carrier-free radioactive isotopes and construction of isotope generators. SUBSTANCE: method involves reactor and cyclotron irradiation of metal matrix followed by extraction of daughter carrier-free radionuclide obtained from parent radionuclide with change in nucleus charge. Irradiated metal matrix is subjected to heat treatment at temperature lower than fusion point of irradiated metal for time period required for exit of radioactive nuclear impurities to surface. Daughter nuclear radionuclides diffused to metal surface are extracted by means of chemical agent selected considering chemical properties of elements being separated. EFFECT: facilitated procedure.
