FIELD: medicine; traumatology and orthopedics of spinal column. SUBSTANCE: first pathologic focus is removed from patient's spinal column while keeping intact anterior and middle portions of locking laminae of vertebrae to be spondylized. It is necessary to proceed to reclination of spinal column followed by additionally forming arcuate grooves in posterior portion of vertebrae to be spondylized. Vertebral endoprosthesis is formed of blank (workpiece) made of biologically inert material and made in the form of cylinder pierced by shifted longitudinal opening. Blank is shaped as endoprosthesis by forming projections on axial ends of blank and also forming in its anterior portion recess communicating with shifted longitudinal opening which with recess in endoprosthesis are filled up with removed bone of damaged vertebra, followed by locking vertebrae to be spondylized by causing endoprosthesis to perform forward-rotary motions. EFFECT: reduced traumaticity; prevention of transplant migration and higher supporting capacity. 2 cl, 4 dwg
