FIELD: machining; polishing of part flat surfaces. SUBSTANCE: polishing of part flat surfaces is carried out by rotating flap bob with relative displacement. Bob flaps are brought in interaction with lubricating-cooling process means. The latter are located in reservoir at the same level with worked surface and rigidly connected with it, and also in polishing inserts which are installed between flaps and rigidly fastened with them. In polishing, inserts are deformed that provides for approaching of lubricating-cooling process means and restoration of its layer in zone of contact of flaps with part. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
